I’m Greg Ellevsen, an international marketing and communications consultant of some 30 years experience.

I’m presently Vice-President of IBM Marketing, Communications & Citizenship for the Middle East and Africa, leading the energetic team building IBM’s Brand and business across the world’s most exciting growth markets.

Previously, as IBM’s Director of Brand and Advertising for Growth Markets, I was responsible for developing the IBM Brand in some of the world’s fastest growing economies… China, India, the Middle East, Africa, the ASEAN region, Central and Eastern Europe, Latin America and South Korea.  In other roles with IBM, I’ve led integrated marketing communications across Asia-Pacific, and the Australia/New Zealand Communications team.

Prior to joining IBM I was part of the start-up team which founded Optus Communications, Australia’s first private telecommunications carrier.   I’ve also enjoyed roles with AMP, Australia’s largest diversified financial services company, and MIM Holdings, one of Australia’s largest mining companies.

A graduate of the Queensland University of Technology, with a Bachelor of Business (Communication), I’ve won a dozen or so national and international awards for my work,  including public relations, advertising, change management, Brand management, writing, and employee communications.

In my private life, I strive to be a devoted father, husband and son.  But I do sometimes find time to indulge in pastimes which include playing the piano, bass and e-drums, pulling the perfect shot of espresso, collecting and restoring pinball machines, home carpentry, being a MechWarrior, and debating ethics and public policy.
